Because most large companies have locations worldwide, the need to quickly access international employment levels and trends has never been greater. Worldwide employment rates vary greatly, so this information is vital for predicting high-potential locations for expansion and recruitment, allowing multinational companies to stay competitive in talent acquisition.
To accomplish this, PeopleScout partnered with HRO Today to produce a quarterly summary of international unemployment metrics for key countries in North America, Latin America, EMEA and APAC. Due to the size of the U.S. economy, and its impact on the rest of the world, unemployment data for individual U.S. states are also shown in this report. Half (25 out of 50) of states had decreases in unemployment in 2018, with only one state, Colorado, showing a significant increase.
